newbie hooked on this board

i am new to this board, posted only a few times so far.

no i find myslef going to the computer time after time to check this site and i feel like i am getting hooked!

what is the matter with me?

welcome to the board and sharing your story. but be warned, this board certainly does have a crack-like addictive quality. once you begin to peel back the layers of years of dubbism, the programming and all the other b*llsh*t, its natural to get angry all over again ... even after being out for years.

I've been here barely a month and its the first site i go to every day.

Remembering growing up as a JDub hurts...

you know i've been fading for 18 months now.

i come from a smallish city of about half a dozen congregations so just about everyone knows everyone so its not such an easy thing to do.

growing up as a jdub was so hard and awful.

Welcome Miss Peaches ...

and unload all you want, we all do. it's nice to have a place where you can do that and people actually understand. only recently have i come to understand my own self-diagnosed Social Anxiety Disorder ... has its roots in my dubbish upbringing. As an adult I considered Paxil, and every other mood-enhancing drug they began to hawk on TV. I always thought, 'That's me. I'm that sad ball with no bounce.'

but as a kid, i already had good reasons for kids to pick on me

... i got perfect grades so i was labeled professor, was the shortest kid in school, sucked at all sports, wore nerdish clothes .... throw in the 'sit for the flag salute thing' and the one time I was stupid enough to announce 'you're all gonna be destroyed!' ... and you can see i was no social butterfly .

as i got older, i found myself running from people i wanted to connect with. i don't know why, it's still a daily battle. sometimes i lose ... and just stay in and close the blinds. everyone know i'm a loner.

point of all that, Peaches, you ain't alone. that Org only churns out screwed up people.

just got my memorial invite.

the only thing new about this year, is my knowledge ... due mostly from finding this site.

i normally take the invite from my mom, tuck it away to hit the trash along with those mags she leaves all time.

thanks for that link. i've heard about this guy and always thought 'suicide' while investigating what could be the greatest criminal act IF PROVEN TRUE

... always seemed a little too convenient to me. i mean, think about it, if you're trying to prove the most powerful leader in the world has just murdered 3000 of his own citizens

how hard would it be for him to stop you?

when there's smoke ... there is always 'something' getting burnt. there are no real coincidences anymore.

my father is just going into have a heart catherization (probably not spelled right) and some of the elders are at the hospital and are going down to view the procedure.

~ am concerned about your black out; has this happened before? It seems extreme that you would have this reaction, and I am concerned that you are not managing your stress levels effectively. How did your mom react to your blacking out? Did you whack your melon on the way down?

no. i didn't literally black out. its just an expression here for 'zoning out for a sec' into ones own head. it was like all the research I'd done resently whizzed through my mind at once:

the blood issue, the 607 thing, PhillipMorris, Rutherford's mansion, billion $ revenue, new light on 1914, yada yada.

All that flashed through my mind watching her on my doorstep, memorial invite in hand, her broken down Corolla in the background ... and I couldn't help but wonder how much cash the Borg have bled her for over the years.

Yeah, I blacked out. She did say, are you okay?

I lied and smiled.

you've sorta echoed what I've been thinking. i do have a good relationship with my mom, and that's what makes it such a dilemma. i love her, that why i want her to know the truth.

its also the reason i want her to stay in the dark, because it would rock her world. i've only recently discovered the depth of bull that is the org,

but I've had twenty outside it to slowly, gradually, see the world without dubbish glasses on ... and to find my own place in the arrangement of things. my mom, at her age and level of brainwashing, might just descend into a spiral of hopelessness ... or madness and become a Stepford Dub on automatic pilot.

I experienced that hopelessness and downward spiral at 19 with drugs & sex, trying to kill myself having fun before the big A you know. Twenty years later ... I'm drugged out and it ain't rained near bit of brimestone.

I'm just saying ... its scary.

Damned if I do. Damned if I don't. But I'm leaning toward the old adage ... Ignorance is bliss.

I have to say, I watched the film and it does reek conspiracy theory

... however, if it any of it is true, then that exactly what it is. It's so outrageous that no one wants to believe that a person or government could be guilty of such genocide for profit or propaganda. I'm currently reading, Jehovah's Witnesses and the Nazis ... and found an interesting quote .

Draw your own conclusion ... but these days, I rarely scoff at much.
